Setting a Recording Schedule

There are two ways to set up your schedule - either sheduling blocks of time using the timeline, or by
setting precise start and stop times in the Period window.
Pre-Record - The DVR can record the scene up to 30 seconds before motion is detected.
Redundancy - If you have multiple hard drives, you can save the recording to both drives.
Multi-Day Schedule - Click on the boxes to the left of the day names to link them and set the same
schedule for all of those days. Linked days will be indicated by a chain icon.
Motion/Alarm/Motion & Alarm - If you schedule MD & Alarm, any previous, overlapping schedules of
either Motion Detection or Alarm, will be erased as Motion & Alarm covers those functions.
Method 1 - Schedule Timeline
1. Select the desired channel.
2. Click the colored box above the timelines to choose which mode you'll be editing.
3. Click and drag the mouse in the time periods that you want the recording to continue.
4. Repeat for other cameras, recording modes or days as desired.
Method 2 - Precision Scheduling
1. Select the desired channel.
2. Click the gear icon to the right of one of the
days to open the Period window.
3. Set the start and end times for one or more
recording period.
4. Select the recording mode for each period.
5. Select the other day(s) you want this schedule
to run.
6. Click Save to exit.
• Settings made in one method will affect the other method.
• Default - Restores recording settings for this channel back to 24/7 Motion Detection only.
• Copy - Copies the settings for this channel so you can apply them to another channel.
• Click Save before exiting this window to preserve your changes.
Setting a Snapshot Schedule
Control when snapshots are taken in the same way recordings are scheduled.

Holiday Schedule

• Creating a holiday in the System > General window (Section 4.5) will add another schedule below
the Saturday timeline. You can set up a specific schedule that will automatically be used on any date
added to the holiday list. If, for instance, a holiday falls on a weekday, the holiday schedule will override
the normal daily schedule.
