Outdoor Driving Surfaces

Your Go-Chair is designed to provide optimum stability under normal driving conditions—dry, level surfaces composed of
concrete, blacktop, or asphalt. However, Pride recognizes that there will be times when you will encounter other surface
types. For this reason, your Go-Chair is designed to perform admirably on packed soil, grass, and gravel. Feel free to use
your Go-Chair safely on lawns and in park areas.
! Reduce your travel chair's speed when driving on uneven terrain and/or soft surfaces.
! Avoid tall grass that can entangle the running gear.
! Avoid loosely packed gravel and sand.
! If you feel unsure about a driving surface, avoid that surface.

Stationary Obstacles (Steps, Curbs, etc.)

Proceed with extreme caution when driving near raised surfaces, unprotected ledges and/or drop-offs (curbs, porches,
stairs, etc.). The correct method for approaching a curb is illustrated in figures 2 and 3.
WARNING! Do not attempt to have your Go-Chair climb or descend an obstacle that is higher than
1 inch unless you have the assistance of an attendant.
WARNING! Do not attempt to have your Go-Chair proceed backwards down any step, curb, or
other obstacle. This may cause the Go-Chair to tip and cause personal injury.

Stairs and Escalators

Travel chairs are not designed to travel up or down stairs or escalators. Always use an elevator.
WARNING! Never use your Go-Chair to negotiate steps or escalators. You may cause injury to
yourself and to others and/or damage your Go-Chair.
