OF DOUBLE-INSULATED
APPLIANCES
A doubte-insutated
apptjance is marked with one or more of the foltowjng: The words "DOUBLE
¡NSULATION"
or'DOUBLE INSULATED"
or the doubte insutation symbot (5quare within a square.)
In a doubte-insutated
appliance, two systems of r'nsutation are provided instead of grounding. No
groundjng means is provided on a doubte-insulated appLiance, nor should a means for grounding be
able to the appLiance, Servicing a double-insutated appLiance requires extreme care and knowtedge
of the system, and shoutd be done only by quatified service personnel. RepLacements
parts for a
doubte-insutated apptiance must be identicat to the part they replace.
Polarization Instructions:
To reduce the risk of electric shock, thjs apptiance has a potarjzed pLug (one btade is wider than the
other). This ptug wiLt fit in a potarized outtet only one way. If the ptug does not fit futLy in the outtet,
reverse the ptug. lf stilt does not fit, contact a qualified etectrician to instaLl the proper outtet. Do
not change the pLug in any way.
