Radio Check; Emergency Operation - Motorola GP540 User Manual

RADIO CHECK

This feature allows the dispatcher to determine if a
radio unit is on the air without disturbing the radio
operator. This is a useful tool for the radio
dispatcher to use for routine maintenance checks,
or if there is reason to doubt the availability of a
radio unit. When the dispatcher "checks" for the
radio, the radio will receive the command and
automatically acknowledge it. The transmit (red)
LED will light when the radio sends the
acknowledgement.
