Tuning)
The
three
CL.AR
buttons
near
the upper
rlght
comer
of
the panel
and the
CUR
knob
are used to
off~et
either
the
receive, trimsrnit
or
both

cies
from their
Settings
on the frequency
display.
The three
small
numbers
on
the
display just to
the
rlg)1

of
the frequency show the
current
clarifier
offset.
The
clarifier
controls on

FT-990

you to
preset an-offset (up
to
9.99

withou
t
actually retuning,
and
then to acti-
vate it
