12. AUTO CALIBRATION
12.1 Overview
AutoCal (Auto Calibration) is the PC side calibration tool that performs Rx and Tx calibration
with Agilent 8960 or other equipment. AutoCal generates calibration data by communicating with
phone and measuring equipment and writes it into calibration data block of flash memory in
GSM phone. There are three steps for automatic gain control (AGC) for Rx, automatic power
control (APC) for Tx, and ADC control for monitoring battery voltage.
