Check the microSD Card Memory

Determine how much space you have left on your microSD card by checking its memory.
► Open the Notifications panel, and then touch
The total and available memory space will be displayed.

Erase the microSD Card

Erasing the microSD card permanently removes all files stored on it.
Note: When you erase the microSD card, the files CANNOT be retrieved. To prevent the loss
of important data, please check the contents before you erase the card.
1. Open the Notifications panel, and then touch
2. Under Storage card, touch Unmount SD card.
3. Touch Erase storage card > Erase storage card > Erase everything.

Unmount the microSD Card

When you need to remove the microSD card while the phone is on, you must first unmount the
microSD card. This prevents corrupting the data stored on it or damaging the microSD card.
Close all running applications on your phone and save any data before you unmount the
microSD card.
1. Open the Notifications panel, and then touch
2. Under Storage card, touch Unmount storage card.
3. Remove the microSD card. See

Copy Files to or from the microSD Card

You can copy your music, photos, and other files to the storage card.
1. Connect your phone to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
2. On the Choose a connection type screen, select Disk drive, and then touch Done.
On your computer, the storage card is recognized as a removable disk drive.
3. Navigate to the removable disk drive and open it.
4. Do one of the following:
Copy the files from the computer to the storage card's root folder.
Copy the files from the storage card to a folder in your computer.
