Settings

In the Settings menu, touch the sym-
bol to list the available applications.

Touch an entry in the list to select the desired
application.

Demo mode
If you activated the demo mode, the device switch-
es to demo mode after 5 minutes of inactivity.

In the Settings menu, touch the sym-
bol to switch on the demo mode
(check mark) or to switch it off (no
check mark).
Theft protection
In the Anti-Theft Protection menu, you
can assign a PIN and a PUK to your navi-
gation device to protect it against unau-
thorised use. For further details, read the chapter
"Performing basic settings", "Activating the PIN
query".
Display
In the map/navigation settings, you can activate
the automatic switching between day and night
display. The display brightness is then constantly
adjusted to the light conditions.
Specify the display brightness in this menu. You
also adjust when switching between day and night
display occurs.

For the Day Brightness or Night
Brightness settings, touch one
of the buttons to adjust the
brightness for day or night.

For the Switch level settings,
touch one of the buttons to ad-
just automatic switching be-
tween day and night brightness.
A higher value indicates, for example, that
switching to night display already occurs at
dusk. A lower value causes switching to wait
until darkness.
Product information

In the Settings menu, touch the
symbol.
Product information about the de-
vice, such as the version of the map
used and the navigation software,
are displayed.
Sound & volume
In the Volume Sound menu, you can adjust the
volume for the voice output of navigation and for
hands-free calling via Bluetooth. To improve the
sound, you adjust the bass and treble.

Language
In the Language menu, you can defi ne the language
in which the menus are displayed. The voice out-
puts also use the defi ned language, if available. If
the selected language is not available for the voice
output, it is output in English.
