Selecting the recording sound
quality [Rec Mode]
This setting cannot be changed while
recording from FM radio.
[MP3 256 kbps]
[MP3 128 kbps]
Presetting a radio station
[Set stations]
You can preset radio stations to make them
easier to select (☞ P.49, P.53).
Setting scanning sensitivity
[Scan Level]
You can select the scan sensitivity used
during auto reception. This setting cannot be
changed while recording from the radio.
[High]:
Scans for radio stations with high
sensitivity. Use this setting under
normal circumstances.
[Low]:
Scans for radio stations with low
sensitivity. Try using this setting when
there are problems such as interference
between radio stations.
Selecting the FM radio output
[Output]
You can select whether the sound of the FM
radio is output from the earphones or built-in
speaker. This setting cannot be changed
while recording from the radio.
[Earphone]: Always outputs the radio
sound from the earphones. The
radio sound is not output from the
built-in speaker if the earphones are
disconnected.
[Speaker]: Always outputs the radio
sound from the built-in speaker. The
radio sound is not output from the
earphones even if they are connected.
NOTE
• The setting for this function only
applies to the radio sound. To set how
speaker output is handled for file
playback, see the description of the
[Speaker] item in the [LCD/Sound
Menu] (☞ P.76).
