After removing the packaging from the machine, make sure that the polystyrene block (figure 1) has come away from the underside of the machine, with the polystyrene base. If it has not come away, carefully lower the machine on its side onto the polystyrene top cap and then remove the polystyrene block (see figure 2).

Take the mains lead from the back of the machine and plug it into the socket. We do not recommend wiring your machine directly into the mains supply.
