1. Connect and use the thumbscrews to secure the interface cable to the
interface connector of the scanner.
2. Connect and secure the other end of the interface cable to the PC.

2.2 Connecting the Scanner

The factory default setting for the scanner's SCSI ID is "No.5".
If the SCSI ID of another SCSI device is set to the same ID, either change
the scanner's SCSI ID or change the SCSI ID of the other SCSI device.
For details on how to change the SCSI ID, refer to the "Chapter 7. OPER-
ATOR PANEL MENUS of the Operator's Guide", included in the "User
manual CD-ROM" .
