Microphone Placement

4.1.1 Mounting Your Microphones

The two PS626 small-diaphragm condenser microphones
and the included stereo bar are designed to make
XY microphone placement quick and easy.
1.
To assemble your stereo bar, begin by removing
both microphone clips and positioning each clip at
a 90˚ angle to its yoke.
2. Grasping a clip in your left hand, attach it to one side of the
stereo bar to the yoke by turning the screw on the stereo bar.
Position the clip at a 45˚ angle to the stereo bar in the center
of the mounting runner before completely tightening the
screw.
3. Repeat step 2 using the second clip
on the other side of the bar.
4. Insert an PS626 microphone into each clip so that
the front of each microphone is crossing the other.
