Removing the Power/Battery Status-Light Board

Prerequisites

Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 7 in "Removing the Base Cover" on
page 12.

Remove the speakers. See "Removing the Speakers" on page 22.

Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 25.

Procedure

Lift the connector latch and, using the pull-tab, disconnect the
power/battery-status-light cable from the system board.

Note the location of the tape that secures the power/battery status-light cable to
the palm-rest assembly, and then peel the tape.

Remove the screw that secures the power/battery status-light board to the
palm-rest assembly.
