Chapter 2. Installing optional devices
Description
When this switch is off,
the primary firmware
ROM page is loaded.
When this switch is on,
the secondary (backup)
firmware ROM page is
loaded.
Note: Changing the
position of the UEFI boot
back switch before the
server is turned on alters
which flash ROM page is
loaded. Do not move the
switch after the server is
turned on. This can
cause an unpredictable
problem.
Indicates a physical
presence to the system
TPM when on.
Bypasses the power-on
password check the next
time the server is turned
on and starts the Setup
utility so that you can
change or delete the
power-on password when
on.
Notes:
1. You do not have to
move the switch back
to the default position
after the power-on
password in
overridden.
2. Changing the position
of this switch does
not affect the
administrator
password check if an
administrator
password is set. See
"Passwords" on page
124 for additional
information about
passwords.
Clears CMOS memory
when on.
