USB Interface

IC15 has the USB interface circuit that is used for receiving ( transferring ) data from ( to ) the host computer. There are USB
interface protocol engine, control/status register group, FIFO group, USB transceiver and PLL in the USB interface circuit. The data
receiving/transferring speed is full-speed (12Mbps) that conforms the USB2.0 standard. This USB interface circuit supports the
control transferring mode and bulk transferring mode as the transferring mode .
The following D+PullUp control circuit detects connection between the host computer and this printer and performs the D+signal
pull-up control.
When connecting between the host computer and this printer, the status of VBUS signal goes the high level, which changes the
level of signal USBDSCON to the high level. After IC15 receives this high level USBDSCON signal, IC15 sends the high level
USBCON signal from pin AB23 of IC15 to pin 5 of IC14 in the D+PullUp control circuit. This pull-up the signal level of D+ signal (
pin 3 of CN6 ) to +3.3V. As a result, the host computer recognizes that the device connected. After this, the data is transferred from
the host computer at full-speed transferring mode ( 12Mbps ).
