Programming The Energy Power™ Bar Elite To Your TV Remote
The Energy Power"' Bar Elite sound bar has four control buttons under the status indicator
lights on its front panel. From the top button down, they are SOURCE, MUTE, VOLUME UP and
VOLUME DOWN. These buttons can easily be programmed to your TV, Satellite or Cable box
remote control so that you can use that remote to control these functions.
NOTE: The sound bar is pre-programmed to have the four control buttons automatically operate
with many Samsung TV remote controls without the need for programming. The Power™ Bar
Elite model comes with its own remote and controls not only the four control buttons but has
a separate button for the 3D Surround Mode On/Off feature. The four control buttons can be
programmed into other remote controls using the built-in learning Remote
Surround mode On/Off button cannot be learned by any other remote and must be controlled
with the included remote.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is not a power on/off button on the front of the sound bar (there is a Main Power switch on the sound bar's rear
panel). You do not need to turn off the sound bar (or subwoofer) when finished watching TV. When

solid red status light on the sound bar front and on the subwoofer rear panel. When your TV, Satellite or Cable box is turned back on and a
signal is again received, the sound bar (and subwoofer) will automatically come out of Standby mode and turn on.

Easy, Three-Step Remote Programming

STEP ONE: IF THE SOUNDBAR IS IN STANDBY MODE (solid red status light), push any
button on the sound bar until the left status light is solid orange OR green. With the left
status light showing either solid orange or solid
SOURCE and MUTE button on the front of the sound bar at the same time (approximately
3 seconds) until the status light flashes orange.
STEP TWO: Press and hold down the MUTE button on soundbar until the left status light
stays solid orange.
STEP THREE: Hold your remote within one foot of the front of the sound bar. Press the
MUTE button on your remote control four times. The first three presses, the left status
indicator light will flash with each
This indicates that the sound bar has "learned" the MUTE function on your remote into
the MUTE key (therefore, when you press MUTE on your remote to mute sound the
bar will go into Standby and not output sound. Pressing MUTE again on your remote will
take the Power Bar Elite out of Standby and the sound bar will output sound).
Repeat steps ONE, TWO and THREE to program the SOURCE, VOLUME UP and
VOLUME DOWN buttons on your remote to the soundbar. (Replace MUTE with SOURCE,
VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN on Steps Two and Three).
