The display is blank.
1. The handset is not activated.
¥ Press and hold the end call key a.
2. The battery is empty.
¥ Charge the battery or replace it

The display shows "Not possible".
The ISDN jack may not be plugged in.
¥ Plug in the ISDN jack.
The message appears when attempting to acti-
vate the Eco Mode+:
A handset is registered to the base that does not
support Eco Mode+.

1. The handset is outside the range of the base.

The handset does not ring.
1. The ringtone is deactivated.
¥ Activate the ringtone (¢ page 62).
2. Call divert set to "All Calls".
¥ Deactivate call divert (¢ page 66).
3. The phone only rings if the phone number has
been transferred.
¥ Activate the ringer for unknown calls
(¢ page 62).
4. MSN is not assigned to internal subscriber or is
incorrect.
¥ Specify receive MSN (¢ page 64).
The handset does not ring as set.
The MSN is assigned a different ringer melody.
¥ Assign a melody for MSN on the handset
(¢ page 61).
The handset does not ring after setting up the
ISDN phone number (MSN).
The local area code has been saved with the MSN.
¥ Save MSN without the local area code.
Some of the ISDN functions do not work as spec-
ified.
The ISDN functions are not active.
¥ Check with your network provider.
You cannot hear a ringtone/dialling tone from
the fixed line network.
