Problem
Zoom head

The SB-700 does
not operate.
Cause
The built-in wide panel
is in use or the Nikon
Diffusion Dome is
attached.
Power zoom function
is canceled.
The distance between
the master × ash unit and
the remote × ash unit is
too long, or there is an
obstacle between them.
The light from the master
× ash unit does not enter
the remote × ash unit
light sensor window for
wireless remote × ash.
Microcomputer may have
malfunctioned if this
occurs even when fresh
batteries are properly
installed.
Thermal cut-out is active.
Solution
Remove the built-in
wide panel or the Nikon
Diffusion Dome.
Activate the power
zoom function.
Redo the setup of the
master × ash unit and
remote × ash units.
• Replace the batteries
while the SB-700
is on.
• If the problem
continues, contact
your retailer or Nikon
representative.
Wait until the SB-700
cools down.
