To access the Configuration Web page:
NOTE: If your network uses Static IP addresses, you may need to disable
the proxy server on the Web browser before you'll be able to access the
Configuration Web page.
1
Open a Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
Communicator. If your network uses DHCP, you can use any
computer connected to the same network as the Control Unit.
However, if your network uses Static IP, you must use a computer that
has been set up to network with the Control Unit in isolation. For
information about setting up a computer for this purpose, refer to
pages 31 through 32.
You can determine whether your network uses DHCP by checking the
IP Address that appears on the right side of the Control Unit screen. If
the IP Address is any number other than "192.168.1.10", then your
network uses DHCP. "192.168.1.10" is the factory default IP Address
assigned to every Control Unit during manufacturing. The factory
default Host Name is "hawksetup".
2
Enter the IP Address or Host Name that appears on the right side of
the Control Unit screen, plus "/config" in the Address box in the Web
browser. For example, if the IP Address of your Control Unit was
"102.123.1.11", you would enter "102.123.1.11/config".
The IP Address assigned to every Control Unit during manufacturing is
"192.168.1.10". Use this address if you have a Static IP network.
The Enter Network Password dialog box will appear.
3
Enter "admin" as the User Name. If this is the first time you've
accessed the Configuration page, leave the Password blank.
Otherwise, enter the Password that you assigned.
4
Click OK.
