Setup your P-660RU -Tx v3 under bridge m ode

If the ISP limits some specific com puters to access Internet, that m eans only the

traffic to/from these com puters will be forwarded and the other will be filtered. In

this case, we use P-660RU-Tx v3 which works as an ADSL bridge m odem to

connect to the ISP. The ISP will generally gi ve one Internet account and limit

only one com puter to access the Internet.

Set up your w orkstation

(1) Ethernet connection

To connect your com puter to the P-660RU-Tx v3's L AN port, the computer m ust

have an Ethernet adapter ca rd installed. For connecting a single com puter to the

P-660RU -Tx v3, we use an Ethernet cable.

(2) TCP/IP c onfiguration

In m ost cases, the IP address of the com puter is assigned by the ISP

dynam ically so you ha ve to configure the com puter as a DHCP client which

obtains the IP from the ISP using DHCP protocol. The ISP m ay also provide the

gateway, DNS via DHCP if the y are a vailable. Otherwise, please enter the

static IP addresses for all that the ISP gives to you in the network TC P/IP

settings. For Windows, we check the option 'Obtain an IP a ddress

autom atically' in its TC P/IP setup, please see the example shown below.
