Concept Color™

Operating Modes:

You can use the Concept Color
• Stand alone mode - The unit will chase through the several
built in programs.
• Sound-Active mode - The unit will react to sound, chasing
through the several built in programs.
• Master/Slave mode - You can daisy chain up to 16 units
together to get a synchronized light show that will react to
sound chasing through several built in programs.
• DMX control mode - This function will allow you to control
each individual fixtures traits with a standard DMX 512
controller such as the American DJ Show Designer.

Stand Alone Mode:

The Concept Color
has a built-in light show that will run when there

is no DMX signal or sound present.
1. Switch dipswitch #10 to the "ON" position.
2. Plug the fixture in and it will chase through its colors.
You can also use the optional controller to operate blackout or
strobe.
Note: You can also control the speed in which it chases
through the colors.
1. By switching dipswitch #1, #2, #3, or #4 to the "ON" postion, you
can choose the speed of the color chase.
2. Dipswitch #1 in the "ON" position will make the unit chase at the
the slowest speed. The higher you move up in the dipswitch
numbers the faster the unit will chase. Dipswitch #4 being the
fastest chase speed.

Sound Active Mode:

In this mode the Concept Color will react to sound, and chase
through the different colors.
1. Switch dipswitch #5 to the "ON" position.
2. Plug the fixture in and it will chase through its colors via sound.
Master-Slave Operation:
This function will allow you to link up to 16 units together to run in a
Master-Slave mode. In Master-Slave operation one unit will act as the

controlling unit and the others will react to the controlling units built-in
programs. Any unit can act as a Master or as a Slave however, only
one unit can be programmed to act as the "Master."
Master-Slave Connections and Settings:
1. Daisy chain your units via the XLR connector on the top of
the unit. Use standard XLR microphone cables to link your
units together. Remember that the Male XLR connector is the
input and the Female XLR connector is the output. The first
unit in the chain (master) will use the female XLR connector
only. The last unit in the chain will use the male XLR
connector only.
2. Be sure the main power switch is set to the "OFF" position.
3. Switch dipswitch #5 and #10 to the "ON" position, on the
"Master" unit.
4. For the "Slave" units, switch dipswitch #1 to the "ON" position, on
each unit.
5. Connect the "Slave" unit or units and they will automatically start
to follow the "Master."
6. To toggle between Master and Slave mode repeat steps 1-4.

DMX Mode:

Operating through a DMX controller give the user the freedom to cre-
ate their own programs tailored to their own individual needs. This
function also allows you to use your fixtures as spot lights.
1. This function will allow you to control each individual fixture's
traits with a standard DMX 512 controller such as the
American DJ
Show Designer™ or the American DJ
®
Operator.™
2. The Concept Color
uses two DMX channels to operate;

Channel 1 is color, and channel 2 is dimmer.
3. To run your fixture in DMX mode, plug in the fixture via the
XLR connections to any standard DMX controller.
Switch dipswitch #1 to the "ON" position. - Follow the set-up
specifications that come with your DMX controller.
