6) SATA3 0/1/2/3/4/5/6 (SATA 6Gb/s Connectors)
The SATA connectors conform to SATA 6Gb/s standard and are compatible with SATA 3Gb/s and SATA
1.5Gb/s standard. Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device. The AMD A85X Chipset supports
RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10, and JBOD. Refer to Chapter 5, "Configuring SATA Hard Drive(s)," for
instructions on configuring a RAID array.

7) CLR_CMOS (Clear CMOS Jumper)
Use this jumper to clear the CMOS values (e.g. date information and BIOS configurations) and reset the
CMOS values to factory defaults. To clear the CMOS values, use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch
the two pins for a few seconds.

• A RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration requires at least two hard drives. If more than two hard drives
are to be used, the total number of hard drives must be an even number.
• A RAID 5 configuration requires at least three hard drives. (The total number of hard drives does
not have to be an even number.)
• A RAID 10 configuration requires four hard drives.
• Always turn off your computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before clearing
the CMOS values.
• After system restart, go to BIOS Setup to load factory defaults (select Load Optimized Defaults) or
manually configure the BIOS settings (refer to Chapter 2, "BIOS Setup," for BIOS configurations).
