Using WAP services
1. Service settings are required to
use a WAP service. You may have
to save the service settings onto
the phone before using WAP
services.
• If you have received the
service settings from the
network operator or service
provider directly onto your
phone,
Service settings
received
is displayed. Press
Options
and select Save. You
can also discard and view the
settings.
• If you have not received the
service settings as a text
message, you must key in the
settings manually. See
"Keying in the service settings
manually"
on page 38.
2. Connect to a WAP service. There
are three ways to do this:
• Open the homepage of the
WAP service by pressing
Menu,
Services
alternatively press and hold
.
• Select a bookmark of the WAP
service by pressing Menu,
Services, and Bookmarks.
Then select a bookmark. Note
that with some service
settings the bookmarks may
not work.

• Key in the address of the WAP
service by pressing Menu,

characters, and press OK.
Note that it is not necessary
to add the prefix http:// in
front of the address since it
will be added automatically.
3. Start browsing the pages of a
WAP service. See
guidelines for using the phone

4. End the connection to the WAP
service by pressing
Quit. Confirm the action.
Alternatively, press
phone terminates the connection
to the WAP service.
5. If you have used a service that
required some personal
information, and do not want
anyone else accessing the
information, you may need to
clear the cache memory by
selecting Menu, Services, and
Clear the
cache. If you want to
clear the cache memory when a
WAP connection is in progress,
select
Options
cache.
