2. Getting started

■ Installing the SIM card
and the battery
Keep all miniature SIM cards out of
the reach of small children.
• The SIM card and its contacts can
easily be damaged by scratches
or bending, so be careful when
handling, inserting or removing
the card.
• Before installing the SIM card,
always make sure that the phone
is switched off and then remove
the battery.
1. With the back of the phone
facing you, press the bottom shell
firmly from sides and remove it
by sliding it downwards.
2. Lift up the battery cover.
3. Remove the battery if there.

4. Release the SIM card holder by
pulling it downwards.
5. Insert your SIM card into the SIM
card holder and ensure that the
bevelled corner is on the top left
and the golden contact area is
facing downwards.
6. Close the SIM card holder.
7. Replace the battery.
8. Attach the battery cover back on.
9. Slide the bottom shell back on
until it locks into its place. See
the step 5 in
"Changing the
shells"
for reference.
