Touch a metal surface on the printer before touching any controller board electronic components or connectors. Open the controller board access door. Lightly press the stop on the left side of the access door, and then slide the access door to remove it. Unpack the ISP kit.

Many of its variable characteristics, such as moisture content, thickness, and texture, can significantly impact print quality. Print samples on the card stock being considered for use before buying large quantities.

Leave paper in its original wrapper until it is time to use it. This limits the exposure of paper to moisture changes that can degrade its performance.
