ThisCookingCenterhas a built-in
exhaustsystemequippedwitha
damper,a two-speedexhaust
blowerand removable filters.
Exhaustopeningsare locatedover
cooktngtopand in hoodoveroven.
Theexhaustsystemfunctionsonly
whenthe bloweris operating.The
switchfor the exhaustsystemis
beneaththe controlpanel.Forhigh
speed,push switchonce; forlow
speed,push switchtwice; andto
stopblower,pushswitchonce
in sequence.
Whenbloweris opezatingandhood
overovenis closed,it exhaustsover
surfaceunitsonly.Whenblower
operateswithhoodin openposition,
it exhauststhroughopeningsover
surfaceunitsand overovenat the
sametime.

Toopenhoodabovetheoven,lift
up handleat centerofhood;to
close,pushdownon handle.Use
hoodin its fullyextendd position
whenevervaporor smokeresults

broilingor fryingon thesurface
units.Seeinformation on useof
surfaceunits.
Hlters
Twofalters arelocatedovercooking
topand onebehindhoodextension.
Filtersare removable for cleaning.
Filtersbecomesoiledovera period
of time. Theefficiency ofyour
exhaustsystemdependson how
cleanthefiltersare. Frequency of
cleaning,or replacing, d ependson
the typeof cookingyoudo, but
falters shouldbe cleanedATLEAST
ONCEA MONTH.Also,frquently
cleanthe grease-ladensurfaces
adjacentto the filters.
Toclean, agitatein hotdetergent
solution.Lightbrushingmaybe
usedto helpremoveimbeddedsoil
anddust. Withcarefuluse and
handling,filterswilllastfor years.
However, i f replacement b ecomes
necessary,obtaina filterfrom
yourdealer.
Removeand ReplaceFilters

1. Cookingtop:Placefingerin
recessat frontedgeof filter;push
filterto rear untilfrontedgeclears
the exhaustopening;lowerthe
frontandremove.Whenclean,
replace.Placeedgeoffilter against
springat rear ofexhaustopening.
Pushto rear, liftfrontedge,andlet
springpushfilterforwardintoplace
underedgeof exhaustopening.
2. Hood:Extendhoodas far as
possible,or removehoodextension
if desired;seeillustration below.
Placefingerson eachsideat
bottomof filter.Pressfilterto lefi
untilit clearstheholderon right
side,thenremove.Whenclean,
replace.Push filteragainstclipat
lefiandpressleftuntilfilterclears
holderat rightside.Push filter
towardopeningandreleaseso it
sli~sbehindholder.
