Using the M-1000 with a Computer Connected Via USB

You can use the M-1000 with computers by connecting as shown in the following figure.
• Mixing the input from digital inputs 1--3 and the analog input with sounds
played back from the computer
• Mixing the input from digital inputs 1--3 and the analog input, and recording
this to the computer
• Recording the mixed input from digital inputs 1--3 and the analog input to the
computer while playing back previously recorded sounds with the computer.
To record or play audio on computers, application software is necessary. (The
application software pre-installed to MacOS or Windows can be used for such purpose.)
* For instructions on what to do in each section, refer to the separate "Functions and
Operations of Each Section" chart.
Analog Input
Try inputting signals with the
ANALOG INPUT SENS (sensitivity)
switch set to [-10 dB].
If the PEAK indicator lights, switch
this to [+4 dB].
Computer
Install the USB audio driver
and make the appropriate settings.

Digital Input
If using one digital input, set the
DIGITAL INPUT SELECT switch to
match the input (coaxial or optical)
connector being used.
Confirm that the LOCK indicator for
the input being used is lit.
Adjust the volume with the LEVEL
knob.
Four digital inputs accept sounds from
computers.
Inputting from the Computer
The LOCK indicator lights up when the M-1000 is
connected to a computer with a USB cable.
Adjust the volume of the sound from the computer.
When connecting with USB,
