Setting up the SMS centre
The phone number for at least one SMS centre must be stored in the device in order to send SMS
messages. The SMS centre is set by default; you should not need to change it under normal cir-
cumstances.
SMS messages are received from every entered SMS centre, as long as they are registered with
their service provider. Your SMS messages are sent via the SMS service centre that is entered as
the active send centre.

u
Calling line identification must be forwarded to the extension of the PABX (CLIP).
u
If necessary, the access code must be prefixed to the number of the SMS centre (depending
on your PABX).
Test: Send an SMS to your own number, once with the access code and once without the
access code.
u
If the SMS is sent without the extension number, it will not be possible for the recipient to
answer directly.
Sending and receiving SMS on ISDN PABXs is only possible via the MSN number assigned to
your base.
