Charging the vanadium-
lithium battery in the
camcorder
Your camcorder is supplied with a vanadium-
lithium battery installed so as to retain the date
and time, etc., regardless of the setting of the
POWER switch. The vanadium-lithium battery
is always charged as long as you are using the
camcorder. The battery, however, will get
discharged gradually if you do not use the
camcorder. It will be completely discharged in
about 1/2 year if you do not use the camcorder at
all. Even if the vanadium-lithium battery is not
charged, it will not affect the camcorder
operation. To retain the date and time, etc.,
charge the battery if the battery is discharged.
The following are charging methods:
• Connect the camcorder to mains using the AC-
V100 AC power adaptor, and leave the
camcorder with the POWER switch turned off
for more than 24 hours.
• Or, install the fully charged battery pack in the
camcorder, and leave the camcorder with the
POWER switch turned off for more than 24
hours.

sur le camescope
Le camescope contient une batterie au vanadium-
lithium qui fait fonctionner l'horloge interne
(date et heure) même lorsque le camescope est
hors tension. La batterie au vanadium-lithium se
recharge toujours quand vous utilisez le
camescope, mais elle se décharge peu à peu si
vous n'utilisez pas le camescope pendant un
certain temps. Si vous n'utilisez pas du tout le
camescope pendant 6 mois, elle sera
complètement déchargée. Le camescope
fonctionne toutefois normalement même si la
batterie au vanadium-lithium est déchargée.
Pour conserver la date et l'heure, ou d'autres
réglages, chargez la batterie quand elle est vide.
Vous pouvez recharger la batterie de deux
façons:
• Raccordez le camescope à une prise secteur au
moyen de l'adaptateur secteur AC-V100 et
laissez le camescope branché pendant plus de
24 heures avec le commutateur POWER sur
OFF.
• Installez la batterie rechargeable complètement
chargée sur le camescope et laissez le
camescope avec le commutateur POWER sur
OFF pendant plus de 24 heures.
