Removing the Hot Shoe Cover

The camera comes with a hot shoe cover attached to the hot shoe.
To use the External Live Viewfinder (DMW-LVF1; optional) (P196), External Viewfinder
(DMW-VF1; optional)
Press the hot shoe cover release button 1 and pull
the shoe cover in the direction of the arrow 2.
Note
•
When not using the External Live Viewfinder (optional), External Viewfinder (optional) or
External Flash (optional), be sure to attach the hot shoe cover.
•
Please be careful not to lose the hot shoe cover.
•
When not using the hot shoe cover, be careful not to let liquid, sand, or any other foreign matter
enter the connection terminals.
•
Keep the Hot Shoe Cover out of reach of children to prevent swallowing.
(P198) or External Flash (P199), please remove the hot shoe cover.
