Insert the smaller loop of the
strap through the strap eyelet.
Put the other end of the strap
through the small loop.
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
Your camera uses four AA-size alkaline batteries. Four AA-size Nicad, Ni-MH, or
lithium batteries can also be used.
CONSERVING BATTERY POWER: Reduce battery consumption by turning off
the LCD monitor when not needed (p. 23). Use the camera's optical viewfinder
to frame shots when taking pictures.
Open the battery-chamber cover
by sliding it in the direction
indicated, then open the cover.
Insert the batteries as indicated
by the +/– diagram.
Close the battery chamber-door
and slide it shut until it clicks.
