Detecting metals and electrical power lines

Tips:
• Before using the appliance for this task, first test it by locating a pipeline or
electrical power cable at a known position.
• In cases of doubt, always consult a qualified building contractor.
Tips:
To enable a power cable to be detected by the appliance, its circuit must be
under power. If you wish to trace for example the cable route from light switch
to lamp, switch the lamp on.
1. Place the function switch 3 into the position METAL for locating metals and
into the position VOLTAGE for locating power cables.
2. Press the detector with the measuring head 2 vertically against the wall to
be examined, then hold the button PUSH 4 down (the red LED 1 glows weakly).
3. Now slowly slide the detector in this position over the wall.
4. Should there be a metal object / a power cable close to the measuring head 2,
the red LED 1 glows more brightly and several signal tones sound one after
the other.
• In this case, release the button PUSH 4 and then press it again, to reactivate
the detection process.
