Taking Pictures

Use this DV camera to take still images. The image file format is JPEG.
The maximum recordable image count depends on the free space of the
internal memory/memory card. The image resolution and quality also affect
maximum image recordable. Generally speaking, the higher image
resolution and quality, the more memory space is required.
To take a picture, perform the following steps:
Turn on the DV camera and set the date and time (refer to page 18).
Press the DSC button to switch to the Snapshot mode and the Snapshot
mode indicator will show on the LCD monitor. Set the preferable image
resolution and quality (refer to page 31).
Compose the picture on the LCD monitor and press the Shutter button.
Press the Shutter button halfway down and the DV camera will adjust the
focus automatically. When the frame color in the focus area turns red,
press the shutter button all the way down.
Press the Multi-selection button to zoom in
maximum zoom ratio is 4X.
Use the Self-timer button to perform the Self-timer function.
Use the Flash when the light is insufficient. Refer to page 27 for more
information.
To view the recorded images, refer to the Playback mode on page 33.
