8) GSATA3 6/7/8/9 (SATA 6Gb/s Connectors, Controlled by Marvell 88SE9172 Chip)
The SATA connectors conform to SATA 6Gb/s standard and are compatible with SATA 3Gb/s and SATA
1.5Gb/s standard. Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device. The Marvell 88SE9172 chip
supports RAID 0 and RAID 1. Refer to Chapter 5, "Coniguring SATA Hard Drive(s)," for instructions on
coniguring a RAID array.
A RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration requires two hard
drives.
9) CLR_CMOS (Clear CMOS Jumper)
Use this jumper to clear the CMOS values (e.g. date information and BIOS conigurations) and reset the
CMOS values to factory defaults. To clear the CMOS values, place use a metal object like a screwdriver
to touch the two pins for a few seconds.
Always turn off your computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before clearing
the CMOS values.
After system restart, go to BIOS Setup to load factory defaults (select Load Optimized
Defaults) or manually conigure the BIOS settings (refer to Chapter 2, "BIOS Setup," for BIOS
conigurations).
