Getting to Know Your Grand Prix
4. When the vehicle starts, the parking
lamps will light and stay on while the
engine is running.
5. Repeat these steps for a 10-minute
time extension, which begins when
the second activation is made.
Turning Off the Engine After a
Remote Start
To turn off the engine after a remote
start, but before driving, press and hold
the Remote Start button until the parking
lamps turn off, OR press and release the
Hazard Warning Flashers button inside
the vehicle. Press the button again to
turn off the flashers.
Driving the Vehicle
To drive the vehicle after a remote start,
insert the ignition key into the ignition
cylinder and turn it to the Run position.

Daytime Running Lamps

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) make it
easier for others to see the front of your
vehicle during the day by lighting the
amber lamps located in the lower front
fascia. (Always turn on the regular head-
lamp system when it is needed.)
You can turn off the DRL by rotating
the exterior lamps control on the
multifunction switch to the full-down
position. Rotate the switch down again
for the DRL to come back on.

Exterior Lamps Control

The exterior
lamps control
can be turned to
the following
positions by
rotating the outer
band:
(Off): Rotate
the band to this
position to turn
off all lamps.
AUTO (Automatic): Rotate the band to
this position to automatically turn the
exterior lamps on or off, depending on
ambient light conditions outside the
vehicle.
(Parking Lamps): Rotate the band
to this position to turn on parking lamps,
side-marker lamps, taillamps, license
plate lamps and instrument panel lamps.
(Headlamps): Rotate the band to
this position to turn on the headlamps,
together with the previously listed
lamps.
(Fog Lamps) (if equipped): Turn the
inner band up to turn on the fog lamps.
This symbol will also illuminate on the
instrument panel cluster. Turn the band
up again to turn off the fog lamps.
Note: The fog lamps will not light when
the headlamp high beams are on. The
fog lamps will always turn off when the
ignition is turned off. If fog lamp illumi-
nation is desired, they must be turned
on each time the ignition is turned on.
