Security settings

To access this menu: Press
standby mode, and select
and Security settings.
Note: When security
features that restrict calls
are in use (call barring,
closed user group and fixed
dialling), calls may be
possible to certain
emergency numbers in some
networks (e.g. 112 or other
official emergency
numbers).
Select
• PIN code request
phone to ask for the PIN code of
the SIM card when the phone is
switched on. Some SIM cards do
not allow this setting to be
changed.
• Call barring service
the calls that can be made or
received with the phone (network
service dependent). Select the
desired barring option and set it
on (Activate) or off (Cancel), or
check whether the option is
active (Check status).
• Fixed dialling to restrict calls and
text messages from your phone
to selected phone numbers, if
allowed by your SIM card.

To view the numbers on the fixed
dialling list, select
scroll to the desired name and
press View.
To modify the fixed dialling list,
press Options and select the
appropriate function.
When you use fixed dialling,
GPRS connections are not
possible, except when sending
text messages over a GPRS
connection. In this case, the
message centre number and the
recipient's phone number have to
be included on the fixed dialling
list.
• Closed user group

phone asks for the security code.
If you select Phone, the phone
asks for the security code when a
