6 Storage
With comprehensive storage options, the Dell PowerEdge T620 offers the choice of drive types,
internal and external storage controllers, and different chassis options depending on the drive
configuration.
Features such as Express Flash PCIe solid-state drives and CacheCade™ provide accelerated
performance over previous technologies. Express Flash drives use PCIe lanes to connect directly to
the processor and chipset. CacheCade uses Dell PERC storage controllers to accelerate
performance over hard drives or traditional solid-state drives (SSDs).
Internal storage
The T620 supports the following internal storage options:
3.5-inch options:
4 x 3.5-inch hot-plug hard drives
—
8 x 3.5-inch hot-plug hard drives
—
8 x 3.5-inch hot-plug hard drives plus four Express Flash PCIe SSDs
—
