BEFORE PLAYBACK

Preparation

Switch on the television and select the preset channel for the

DVD player.
2 If an audio system or an AV receiver is connected to the DVD
player, switch it on and select the audio input for the DVD
player.
Switch on the DVD player by pressing »ON/OFF« on the

device.
– Display on the DVD player »{ O d I S C «, on the television –
»No Disc«.

Inserting a disc

Press » « on the DVD player, or
1
press and hold down »
– Display on the DVD player »OPE{«, on the television »Open«,
the disc drawer opens.
Insert the disc you want to play in the disc compartment with the

label facing upwards.
3 Press » « on the DVD player, or
press and hold down »
– Display on the DVD player »C L O S E «, on the television
»Close«, the disc drawer closes, afterwards the »L O A d « dis-
play flashes (Display on the television »Loading«), the disc is
scanned.
– Display: the elapsed playing time of the title.
Notes:
Playback of a DVD, VCD, SVCD, KODAK Picture CD, JPEG CD
or audio CD (CD-DA) starts automatically.
The file browser appears if an MP3 CD is inserted.
If the »-« symbol appears on the television screen, the select-
ed function is not possible with this disc.

Removing discs

Press » « on the DVD player, or

press and hold down »
– Display on the DVD player »OPE{«, on the television »Open«,
the disc drawer opens.
