Radio operation
Scan
The scan function cannot be started
unless PTY has been switched off
("PTY" does not light up in the
display).
Press SC briefly -
The scanned frequency or station
name will flash in the display. The dis-
play will show "FM SCAN" or
"AM SCAN" while searching for the
next station. The unit will scan all of
the receivable stations of the
selected memory bank/waveband.
Preset Scan
Preset Scan cannot be started unless
PTY has been switched off ("PTY"
does not light up in the display).
Press SC for approximately 1 second
until you hear a beep.
"SCAN" will alternate with the name or
frequency of the scanned station in the
display.
The unit will scan all of the stations
stored on the preset buttons of the se-
lected memory bank/waveband.
To stop Scan / Preset Scan:
Press SC once again.
PTY-Scan
PTY-Scan cannot be started unless
PTY is switched on ("PTY" lights up in
the display).
All of the stations for the programme
type selected will be scanned briefly.
Tape operation
Cassetten-Scan
Press SC.
"CC SCAN" will appear in the display.
All cassette titles will be scanned brief-
ly.
To stop cassette scan:
Press SC once again.
Changer operation
CD-Scan
Press SC briefly.
"CDC SCAN" will appear in the display.
All CD titles will be scanned briefly.
To stop CD-Scan:
Press SC once again.
@ PTY (Programme Type)
In the PTY mode, the preset buttons
become programme type buttons. With
every preset you can select one pro-
gramme type, such as for example
NEWS, SPORT, POP MUSIC, EDU-
CATE, etc.
A DSC (Direct Software Control)
In the PTY mode, the preset buttons
become programme type buttons. With
every preset you can select one pro-
gramme type, such as for example
NEWS, SPORT, POP MUSIC, EDU-
CATE, etc. With the << >> rocker
switch, it is possible to recall all of the
PTY programme types as long as the
PTY function has been activated
("PTY" will light up in the display).
B AUD
Adjusts the treble and bass frequen-
cies.
Press AUD once and use the rocker
switch to adjust the settings.
