3. Bolt (× 2)
2. Remove the bolts and screw, and
then loosen the quick fastener
screws 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
3. Slide the cowling backward at the
area shown.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR
1. Turn signal light lead coupler
2. Screw (× 2)
4. Disconnect the turn signal light
lead coupler.
5. Remove the screws, and then take
the cowling off.
To install the cowling
1. Install the screws.
2. Connect the turn signal light lead
coupler.
3. Place the cowling in the original
position.
4. Install the screw and the bolts,
tighten the quick fastener screws,
and then install the quick fasteners.

NOTE:

To install the quick fastener, push the
center pin out so that it will protrude
from the fastener head, insert the fas-
tener into the cowling, and then push
the protruding pin in until it is flush with
the fastener head.
