11. Complete any additional warranty information requested, and then
submit it using your preferred method.
• Manual Install
If using the Add Printer Wizard to install drivers manually, follow these
instructions:
1. Choose "Start:Settings:Printers."
2. Double click "Add Printer."
3. Select "My Computer."
4. Click "Next."
5. Select the desired port, most likely "LPT1," and click "Next."
6. Choose "Have Disk. . ."
7. Choose "Browse."
•
In the "Drives" list box, select the drive letter corresponding to
your CD-ROM drive.
•
In the "Folders" list box, double-click on "PJ200" or "PJ2".
•
In the "Folders" list box, double click on "WinNT4" directory.
•
Choose the "PJ200NT.INF" or "PJIINT.INF" file, then click
"OK," then follow any remaining onscreen instructions.
8. The screen should display the available printer models:
a. Pentax PocketJet 200 (or II)-Sheet Paper - select this if you are
using cut sheet paper. Click "Next" to continue.
b. PocketJet 200 (or II)-Roll Paper - select this if you are using roll
paper. This Mode 1 defaults the "Extra Feed" to 1 inch. Note:
The PocketJet II has an additional Mode 1 called "Roll Paper 2"
that has a longer "Extra Feed" value. Click "Next" to continue.
c. Pentax PocketJet 200 (or II) Roll Paper Infinite – select this if you
are using roll paper and are printing long continuous data such as
geological recordings or polygraph tests.
d. Pentax PocketJet 200 (or II) with Perforated Roll Paper – select
this if you are using perforated roll or fanfold paper (available
with new drivers only). Using perforated or fanfold paper gives
you the advantage of having a virtual sheet feeder. See the Pentax
website (www.pentaxtech.com) for the most up-to-date driver.
e. You may load any combination of printer models if you will be
using both sheet and roll paper – however, an installation for each
model will be required.
When the desired model is selected, click "Next."
Note: To use multiple types of paper (for example, both sheet paper
and roll paper), run installation program once for each type of
paper. Then, choose appropriate printer model for paper
being used.
9. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions.
10. You will be prompted to insert your Windows NT CD. Choose
OK, otherwise the installation will be canceled.
