How do I change the water filter?

Your HVAC Professional Installer chose one of these two in-line water filters for use with your TrueSTEAM. The
selection was based on the hardness of your home's water supply. Both types of filter must be replaced at least
once every humidification season:

Changing the in-line polyphosphate filter.

backflow preventer valve in a place where you can reach them. Follow the water supply line from TrueSTEAM
to find the filter.

Your Professional Installer will have secured the water filter and

Polyphosphate water filter with backflow preventer.
Reverse osmosis (RO) filter with backflow preventer.
Turn the water supply off at the saddle valve or
T-fitting and manual shutoff valve.
Press down the filter collar ring and pull out the 1/4-
inch water line from each side of the filter.
Insert the 1/4-inch line into a new filter. Apply a
modest pull to ensure a tight fit.
Be sure to install the new filter correctly. The arrows on
the filter must point to TrueSTEAM.
Secure the new filter in place, using the bracket or
strap that your Installer provided.
