Clean Battery (926513, 516)
WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Read
and understand the entire Safety
section before proceeding.
IMPORTANT: Battery is maintenance-free.
Do not tamper with or attempt to open battery.
See SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS on
page 26 for charging procedures.
Terminals
Keep battery and its terminals clean.
IMPORTANT: Remove battery from unit
before cleaning.
Remove corrosion from battery terminals and
cable conections with wire brush, then wash
with a weak baking soda solution.
After cleaning, apply a thin coat of grease or
petroleum jelly to terminals and cable ends to
retard corrosion.
Replace Fuse (926513)
1. Remove the two screws and the cover
plate from beneath the battery.

2. Locate the fuse holder on the wiring
harness and remove the fuse.
3. Install a new fuse of the same amp-
rating and type.

4. Replace the cover plate and secure in
position with the two screws removed in
step 1.
NOTICE: Make sure the wire harness does
not get pinched between the cover plate and
the auger housing.
Replace Fuse (926516)
1. Remove the two wing knobs, flat
washers and cover from the battery.
Cover
2. Locate the fuse holder on the wiring
harness and remove the fuse.
3. Insert a new fuse of the same amp-
rating and type.
4. Replace the cover and secure with
hardware removed in step 1.
