1 Hardware Overview

1.5 CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive

The CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive accepts 12-cm (4.72-inch) and 8-cm (3.15-inch) discs. At
maximum, the drive can play back a DVD at 8x speed, read CD-ROM at 24x speed, and write
CD-R at 24x speed and HS CD-RW at 10x speed.
The specifications of the CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive are listed in Table 1-3.
