Inserting a compact disc Before putting on headphones to listen to an audio CD, turn the volume dial down, and do not set the volume too high when using the headphones. Continuous exposure to loud sound can harm your hearing. To insert a compact disc into the drive: Make sure the computer is turned on. -

Using the DVD-ROM or multi-function drive Be careful not to touch the drive’s lens (located underneath the drive’s spindle) or the area around it. Doing so could cause the drive to malfunction. Make sure the disc is completely on the spindle and is lying flat on the tray. -

TECHNICAL NOTE: The computer drains the battery faster at low temperatures. Check your remaining charge frequently if you are working in temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
