The used lamp time is calculated internally in the following formula as the used time in each setting of [Normal], [Auto] and
[ECO] in [Lamp power mode]:
Lamp runtime = (Lamp runtime of [Normal] × 51 + Lamp runtime of [Auto] × 24 + Lamp runtime of [ECO] × 34) ÷ 51
 In order to estimate the lamp life, please refer to [Lamp Hours Used (Normal)] and [Lamp Hours used (ECO)] in
the [Lamp settings] menu (
lamp power modes. Please note that they are not displayed individually.
 Lamp use time = ([Lamp Hours Used (Normal)] × 51 + [Lamp Hours Used (ECO)] × α
When setting under both [Normal] and [ECO], not using [Auto]: α
When setting under both [Normal] and [Auto], not using [ECO]: α
When setting under both [ECO] and [Auto]: 24 < α
The ratio of α
will be smaller if the used time of [Auto] is more than that of [ECO].

Replacing the Lamp unit

Attention
When the projector is mounted on a ceiling, do not work with your face close to the projector.

Attach the lamp unit and the lamp cover securely.
z
When you experience difficulty in installing the lamp, remove it and try again. If you use force to install the lamp, the

connector may be damaged.
Do not loosen other than designated screws.

Lamp cover

Turn off the Power by following the procedure in "Powering off the projector".

page 29). Remove the AC power plug from the wall outlet. Wait at least 1 hour and

make sure the lamp unit and surroundings are cool.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the lamp cover screw and open the lamp cover.
Open the lamp cover by pulling it slowly toward the direction of the arrow.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two lamp unit screws until the screws turn
freely. Pull up the handle, and pull out the lamp unit gently.
4 )
Insert the new lamp unit in correct direction. Tighten the two lamp unit screws
securely with a Phillips screwdriver.
5 )
Close the lamp cover, and tighten the Lamp cover screw securely with a Phillips
screwdriver.
Reset the Lamp Hours Used

After replacing the lamp unit, make sure to reset the usage time in the [Clear Lamp Hours] menu. (

page 43). [Lamp Hours Used (ECO)] is a total real time under [Auto] and [ECO]
