Electrical Requirements

protected by a 15-amp or 20-amp circuit breaker or time

Extension Cord Cautions
Because of potential safety ha/_trds associated with certain
conditions, we strongly recommend against the use of
an extension cord. However, if you still elect to use all
extension cord, it is absolute]_ necessa*w that it be a

Grounding

Tile power corcl of this appliance is equipped with a
3-prong (grotmding) plug which mates with a standard
3-prong grounding wall receptacle to minimize tile
possibility of electric shock ha/ard fl'om this appliance.
Tile customer should haw tile wall receptacle and drcuit
checked by a qualified electrician to make sure tile
receptacle is properly grounded.
Where a standard 2-prong wall receptacle is encountered,
it is tile personal responsibili_' and obligation of the
customer to haw it replaced with a properly grounded
3-prong wall receptacle.
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR
RFTMOVE THE THIRD (GROUND) PRONG FROM
THE POWER CORD.
A word about GFCI's----GFCPs axe not required or
recommended for gas raaage receptacles.
Ground Fault Circuit lntermptel_ (GF(l's) are devices
that sense leakage cd cm'rent ill a circuit and automatically
switch off power when a threshold leakage le\vl is
detected. These devices must be manually reset by tile

An adapter may be used only on a 15-amp circuit. Do not
use an adapter on a 20-amp drcuit. _4qmre local codes

CAUTION:

ground the appliance tmless the cover screw is metal,
and not insulated, and the wall receptacle is grotmded
through tile house wiring. Tile customer should have
tile circuit checked by a qualified electrician to make
sm'e tile receptacle is properly gr()tmded.
X_q/en disconnecting tile power cord fl'om tile adapte_;
always hold tile adapter with one hand. If this is not
done, tile adaptor grotmd temlinal is very likely to break
with repeated use. Should this happen, DO NOT USE
tile appliance tmtil a proper grotmd has again been
established.
