TROUBLE SHOOTING

I. If one of the following malfunctions occurs,
take the measures shown below and contact
your Daikin dealer.
The system must be repaired by a qualifi ed service
person.
WARNING
If the air conditioner or heat pump is operat-
ing abnormally, such as a burning smell,
unplug the power cord from the outlet, and
contact your dealer
Continued operation under such circumstances
may result in a failure, electric shock, and fi re.
• If a safety device such as a fuse, a breaker or an
ground leakage breaker frequently actuates;
Procedure: Do not turn on the main power
switch, take the following actions.
• If the ON/OFF switch does not properly work;
Procedure: Turn off the main power switch
• If water leaks from unit.
Procedure: Stop the operation.

• If an error occurs, either one of
the following items will fl ash in
the basic screen.
"Error: Push Menu button"
* The operation lamp will fl ash.
"Warning: Push Menu button"
* The operation lamp will not fl ash.
• Press Menu/OK button.

• Notify your Daikin dealer of the
Error code and model name or

II. If the system does not properly operate
(except for the above mentioned case), and
none of the other mentioned malfunctions
are evident, investigate the system accord-
ing to the following procedures:
1. If the system does not operate at all.
• Check if there is a power failure.
Wait until power is restored. If a power failure
occurs during operation, the system auto-
matically restarts immediately after the power
supply recovers.
• Check if a fuse has blown.
Turn off the power supply.
• Check if the breaker is blown.
Turn the power on with the breaker switch in
the off position.
Do not turn the power on with the breaker
switch in the trip position.
(Contact your dealer.)
2. If the system stops operating it has been
running normally.
• Check if the air inlet or outlet of outdoor or
indoor unit is blocked by obstacles.
Remove the obstacle so that it is well-venti-
lated.

• Check if the air fi lter is clogged.
Ask a qualifi ed service person to clean the
air fi lters (Refer to HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR
FILTER).
3. If the system operates but it does not suf-
fi ciently cool or heat, check if:
• If the air inlet or outlet of the indoor or the
outdoor unit is blocked with obstacles.
Remove the obstacle to ensure it is well-ven-
tilated.
• If the air fi lter is clogged.
Ask a qualifi ed service person to clean the
air fi lters (Refer to HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR
FILTER).
• If the set temperature is not proper (Refer to
ADJUSTMENT).
• If the FAN SPEED button is set to LOW
SPEED (Refer to ADJUSTMENT).
