Problem
Correction
Pump has following problems:
failure to producepressure,
erratic pressure, chattering, loss
of pressure, low water volume.
Detergent fails to mix with spray.
Engine runsgood at no-load but
"bogs" when load is added.
Enginewill not start; startsand
runs roughor shutsdownduring
operation.
Cause
1.
Low pressure spray tip installed.
2.
Water inlet is blocked.
3.
Inadequatewater supply.
4.
Inlet hose is kinked or leaking.
5.
Clogged inlet hose strainer.
6.
Water supply is over IO0°F.
7.
High pressure hose is blocked or
leaks.
8.
Gun leaks.
9.
Spray tip is obstructed.
10. Pump is faulty.
1.
Detergentsiphoning tube is not
submerged.
2.
Detergentsiphoning tube is clogged
or cracked.
3.
High pressure spray tip installed.
4.
Detergentsiphoning check ball
stuck.
Engine speed is too slow.
1.
Throttle lever in "Stop" position.
2.
Fuel lever in Off (0) position.
3.
Dirty air cleaner.
4.
Out of fuel.
5.
Stale fuel.
6.
Spark plug wire not connected to
spark plug.
7.
Bad spark plug.
8.
Water in fuel.
9.
Overchoking.
10. Excessively rich fuel mixture.
Engine lacks power.
Dirty air filter.
Choke is opened too soon.
Engine"hunts" or falters.
1.
Replace spray tip with high pressure
spray tip.
2.
Clear inlet.
3.
Provide adequate water flow.
4.
Straighten inlet hose, patch leak.
5.
Checkand clean inlet hose strainer.
6.
Provide cooler water supply.
7.
Clear blocks in outlet hose.
8.
Replace gun.
9.
Cleanspray tip.
10. Contact Sears service facility.
1.
insert detergent siphoning tube into
detergent.
2.
Cleanor replacedetergent siphoning
tube.
3.
Replace spray tip with low pressure
spray tip.
4.
Freedetergent siphoning check ball.
Move throttle control to FAST position. If
engine still "bogs down", contact Sears
service facility.
1.
Move throttle lever to "Fast" position.
2.
Move fuel lever to On (I) position.
3.
Cleanor replaceair cleaner.
4.
Fill fuel tank.
5.
Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel.
6.
Connectwire to spark plug.
7.
Replace sparkplug.
8.
Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel.
9.
Open choke fully and crank engine.
10. Contact Sears service facility.
Replace air filter.
Move choke to halfway position until engine
runs smoothly.
