1. Refer to the previous section to turn on Wi-Fi.
2. Tap Start > Settings > Connections > WLAN.
3. On Wireless tab, you can see currently available wireless networks. Select the connection that you want to edit,
tap Menu > Edit.
4. Make changes and then tap Finish to save your settings.
Creating a Wireless Connection
Some Wi-Fi networks are hidden. You might need to enter the network settings manually. To set up a new Wi-Fi
network, you will need to have your home router settings or information from your administrator about joining the
corporate Wi-Fi network.
1. Tap Start > Settings > Connections > WLAN.
2. Tap Menu > Add New.
3. Enter the Network name, select a Network type, select This is a hidden network, and then tap Next. If you want
to connect to another device instead of a network through an access point, select This is a device-to-device (ad-
hoc) connection.
4. Enter required information, and then tap Next.
5. Select or clear Use IEEE 802.1X network access control.
6. To use EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol) or smart card authentication, make the selections appropriate to
your choice of authentication.
7. Tap Finish.
Deleting a Wi-Fi Connection
1. Tap Start > Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.
2. Select the connections that you want to delete, tap Menu > Remove Settings.
6.3 GPRS Network Connection
1. Make sure SIM card has been inserted into device
Note: Insert position of SIM card: short corner is at the top left of SIM card.

Select "Start – setting – connection - connection"

In "Internet setting", click "add new modem"; Input connection name, select "telephone line (GPRS)" modem,
click "Next", input your providers Access Point Name (APN) , click "Next" , enter User name, Password, and
Domain. Tap on Finish. Please confirm with your provider to verify what information is required to
establish a GPRS connection.

Tap on "Manage existing connections" – press and hold on your GPRS connection which was created – select
Connect.

You will notice that your device will now display a network icon on the status bar; this indicates that the
network was connected successfully. You will now be able to access the internet using Internet Explorer,
emails, etc.

6.4 Bluetooth Connections

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology. Device with Bluetooth capabilities can exchange
information over a distance of about 10 meters without requiring a physical connection.
The device can connect to other Bluetooth-enabled devices such as computers, mobile devices, and Bluetooth-
enabled accessories such as headsets and car kits.
To use Bluetooth for beaming (exchanging) information, you have to turn on Bluetooth and establish a Bluetooth
partnership between the device and the other device.
Turning Bluetooth on or off
1. Tap on Start > Settings > Bluetooth.
2. On the Mode tab, select or clear Turn on Bluetooth.
3. Tap OK.
